RuralAus has confirmed a general meeting called by renegade shareholder Fred Woollard to oust two members of the board has been cancelled.  As reported in WestBusiness on Thursday, Mr Woollard, who holds 19.9 per cent of the company, had called the meeting to force the sacking of former Labor MP George Gear and former investment banker Peter Wallace, before backing down from the plan after being granted a seat on the board of the struggling timber plantation manager.  Mr Woollard had said he was frustrated with the board’s poor investment decisions, including taking a $1 million stake in Gage Roads Brewing.
